Hot Make Up: 90's Style

So the 90's style make up was often soft and bare; earthy with a shout out to the browns. The focus was very Kate Moss, waif style. Sunken in cheekbones were created with a brownish contour that started at the temple and followed that hollow in your cheek. A base was always necessary to make sure you had that matte look on your face. Combined with a brownish lipliner, Revlon's, Toast of New York was the hottest shade ever. You could have nothing on but a matte powder and that brownish-pink shade and just be on top of it. The eyeshadow was often nude but and the mascara was light. With this look, it was all about the eye-liner or the complete lack of it. Nowhere in the middle.

For a more current take on the 90's eyeliner look, Use a neutral shade that is just a little lighter and peacher than your base for your eyeshadow. Use that on the inside crease of your eyelid. You can even use a little on the underneath of your lashes, but only towards the center, near your nose. Then use black, navy blue, purple or green eye liner that you can put on the rim of your eye. Line the bottom lashes only. Only on the rim and go over it three or four times. Once you put your liner on, go with the best and most basic mascara, Maybelline- the pink and green one. No matter what whoever says, this is the best mascara of all times. Finish up your look with a browninsh, sunken in cheek bone and a very nude lip gloss, a caramel color. This is the cheek and lip combination that Kim Kardashian often uses. The focus on Hot make up in the 90's was the waif look and either the nude lip or the dark lip-but no where in between. As most fashion becomes recycled, so do make up trends. Be on top of it and practice at home;)
